Course Overview
What This Course Covers

The Safety Officer course is DT Academy's most in-depth Health & Safety qualification — 4 weeks of classroom instruction and practical site-based assessment designed to prepare you for a full-time Safety Officer role. You'll learn to interpret and apply the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA), conduct risk assessments, investigate incidents, manage legal appointments, and prepare a site for external audit.

Training is delivered by instructors with real safety-officer experience on mining, construction and industrial sites, so what you learn in the classroom is exactly what you'll be expected to do on day one of the job.
